Vysala's Cooking Guide
Skill 00-08
The following cooking recipes will raise your crafting skill from level zero to level eight (0.0 - 8.0). Be sure to take your test between level eight and level ten. If you do not take your test, you will not be able to get past level ten. The synthesis test item for level ten is Salmon Sub Sandwich.

This is by far the cheapest starter recipe. Unfortunately since everyone can make it, you will be hard pressed to get any of the results to sell. I sold all of my Carrot Broth right back to an NPC, keeping just a couple of stacks for my BST. Selling back to the NPC will give you less than break-even results - depending on the price of the crystals. It’s best just to go to South San d’Oria and stand right at the Carrot NPC and craft these. And it’s a nice close spot to the AH for the crystals if you need to buy them. |

This recipe is very cheap and unless you are in a nation that is in last place, you can buy the Bird Eggs from the Airship Shop. Due to high prices at the AH, I would suggest traveling to an airship shop that sells these. I recall selling these back to the NPC after many failed attempts at trying to get them to sell at the AH. No one buys these on my server. |

I only did this recipe until level 8, however it does cap at 10 so you could choose to take it further if you desired. Orange Juice will sell if you have the patience to sell them. Because of slow AH sales, I would suggest selling them from a mule instead. These make great low level drinks for mages, so you could take a stack of materials and craft them in party and use them as you go - skilling up at the same time. |
